About the opportunity

I am representing a client within the NSW Government space that are offering an opportunity within their small, specialized team, with this Senior Safety & Wellbeing Advisor role based in Sydney, great money, with a focus on delivering day to day operational work health and safety knowledge and skills and auditing on-site operations & systems.

About the role

You will be someone who is comfortable providing advice to staff and clients on safety, and quality management matters for infrastructure and construction planning & delivery. You will lead the implementation and management of the organisation’s Safety Management System and audit existing functions for compliance & legislative obligations.

About the ideal applicant

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role, but in short you will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (Safety Coordinator, SHEQ, WHS, Health & Safety, Compliance Auditor, Wellbeing Advisor, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 (2015), AS4801 and ISO1400 is highly regarded
  • Experience working with a complex organisation or State Gov’t highly regarded, but not necessary
