Your new Department

This federal government is providing new, national approach to providing support to people with disability and their families and carers. It started its work in 2013 and is currently rolling out in stages across the country.

We are looking for dedicated and motivated people to work to help make a difference in the community and the lives of hundreds and thousands of Australians.



Your new role

As Senior Provider Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for working to engage service providers to ensure optimal provider satisfaction is experienced



You will:

  • Assist with the planning of provider engagement to enhance local capabilities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including state and local governments, providers, carers, people with disability and mainstream organisations to identify, analyse and resolve local challenges.
  • Represent the department at information forums and events.
  • Assist in designing practices and resources to effectively implement strategy.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of activities and training for staff.
  • Prepare draft replies to ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, briefs etc.



You will be successful in this role, if you will tick all the boxes below:

  • Must be an Australia Citizen
  • Proven experience in public speaking including engaging large crowds
  • Experience in a similar engagement based role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders
  • Meticulous with detail and ability to multitask
  • Can work well autonomously and part of the team
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office
  • Experience in handling and managing confidential and sensitive information
