senior project manager - aml in Sydney CBD

Excellent opportunity has arrived to join a leading organisation as a Senior Project Manager in their Sydney office in a 12 month contract.

The Snr PM is accountable for the planning, management, control and delivery of business projects. This is a range of projects across BAU and integration.

Specifically, the Project Manager AML/CTF will be responsible for the AML / CTF Improvement Program which is focused on uplifting the capability standard. Key focus areas will be Know Your Customer (KYC), Transaction Monitoring, Venue and venue staff training, enhanced customer due diligence and training for employees.

On a daily basis you will be involved in:

• Lead and manage multiple streams of work within the program
• Establish appropriate governance to manage the streams and deliver business outcomes eg standups, working groups, stream lead meetings etc.
• Bring together appropriate leads across Centre Risk, Wagering Risk, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Change, HR, Technology
• Define the scope, plan, and all deliverables for the projects. Work closely with the business owners to ensure that the strategy and transformation objectives are translated in to the scope and plans.
• Manage stakeholders with a focus on (i) ensuring collaboration between teams (ii) influencing Technology delivery efficiency and quality (iii) Senior Sponsorship engagement
• Drive project outcomes by working collaboratively and building strong relationships
• Manage competing priorities, interdependencies and milestones across the projects, risk management, issue escalation/resolution, scope change and implementation planning
• Open and consistent communication with key internal and external stakeholders
• Follow enterprise project management methodologies, tools and governance processes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and Board obligations
• Provide reporting of status, including progress, completion outlook, and budget actuals/forecast to the Program Manager & PMO

To succeed in this role you will have:

• Experience in project management of large and complex projects (with AML / CTF projects)
• Post-graduate qualifications in Business and/or Law. In depth understanding of the relevant governing laws and standards surrounding AML / CTF.
• Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of Project Management discipline, principles and practice in Agile environments
• Certification in PRINCE2 or PMBoK or equivalent methodology
• Demonstrated ability to create documents including business cases, steering committee & Board papers, presentations, technical and commercial content
• High level of Project Management skills with a proven ability to deliver the projects objectives on time and within budget
• Outcome focused with demonstrated ability to meet business outcomes and deadlines
• Experience with negotiation, consultation and communication within a complex project environment
