We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Program Officer to join NSW Government to work on public spaces projects.

This is an opportunity to work for a NSW Government department, one of the biggest employers in Australia. The Government employs an inclusive and diverse workforce, with great office environments.

About your new role

As the Senior Program Officer, you will be responsible for providing a range of project management and support services. This will include:

  • Preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating meetings and workshops, acts as secretariat for key meetings, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans.
  • Ensure program outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope
  • Manage & ensure reporting requirements are met across all programs of work in line with obligations to Infrastructure NSW, Treasury, Delivery Agencies, Program Managers and other stakeholders
  • Source, collate and compile data to identify emerging risks & issues, and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and management of costs, schedule, milestones, risks and opportunities to deliver project outcomes

What you will need

  • Degree in project management, planning or engineering
  • Formal Project Management Certification/Training (PMI P3M, PRINCE2, etc)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (working knowledge of Visual basic, macros, pivot charts etc)
