Working in a dynamic and fast paced team, this is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative team working on special projects and in partnership with key SA stakeholders committed to contributing to integrated policies and plans that shape our City to protect and enhance our Park Lands and surrounds!

As part of the Park Lands, Policy and Sustainability Program you will:

• Provide advice and deliver complex urban planning policy, including spatial planning, land-use, density and built form, heritage, movement systems and sustainability
• Employ an integrated and strategic approach to develop policy formulation that encompasses economic, social, environmental and physical considerations to ensure strategic goals and objectives are achieved
• Prepare and provide advice on Planning and Design Code Amendments, including detailed research and analysis

Ideally you will possess:

• Highly developed written skills and the ability to effectively research and analyse data in order to report on and convey complex information in a clear, succinct manner while considering target audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong organisational and project management skills to manage project timelines and objectives
• Detailed technical knowledge of SA’s planning system and policy development procedures, together with experience in the preparation of Development Plan and Design and Code Amendments
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships while engaging, consulting and negotiating with all levels of management and stakeholders
