Are you an experienced Policy Officer in the public sector? This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and experience in one of the largest state government departments in South Australia. This role is to be based in Adelaide metro area and required for four to six weeks.
About your new role
The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for the development and provision of high level written and verbal policy advice and briefings, conducting research and analysis to support development of programs, procedures and correspondence.
- Lead engagement with broad range of internal and external stakeholders in order to develop effective policy and operational communications advice.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to support the development and updating briefings, policies, programs, procedures and correspondence.
- Apply knowledge in the researching, preparing and writing of policies, procedures and other communications material for the unit.
What you will need
We are looking for someone with demonstrated experienced as a Policy Officer in the public sector. This role requires:
- Demonstrated experience in writing and evaluating high quality briefings, correspondence and reports in a public sector role
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills with both internal and external relationships
- A current working with children or child related clearance
- Available to start immediately
