About our client:

Randstad is partnering with an industry leading multinational organisation with a reputation for delivering an exceptional level of service across multiple sites in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

About the role:

The Senior Payroll Officer will work as part of a team responsible for full end-to-end payroll processing. This role will see you act as the payroll 2IC and assist the Payroll Manager with mentoring and developing a team of Payroll Officers. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Full end-to-end payroll processing including calculating terminations, redundancies and leave
  • Processing all new starters and maintaining employee files
  • Award and EBA interpretation
  • Assisting with training and process improvement
  • Assist in monitoring, maintaining and participating in upgrades of the Payroll and Time and Attendance system

About you:

You are an experienced Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Team Lead with solid experience doing end-to-end payroll processing using a large ERP in a high volume environment. You take a proactive approach to your work and possess a positive attitude. In addition, you have:

  • Experience providing mentoring and guidance in a medium to large sized team of Payroll Officers
  • The ability to deliver
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
