Our Randstad Public Sector team recruits for a variety of contract positions - business support, accounting, finance, policy and communications. Our clients are on the look out for a full time HR Analyst.

The City requires a full time Payroll Analyst to start ASAP for 3 months with possible extension. The position is located in the northern suburbs and will be based in their HR department at the City’s main administration building. The main objectives of the role is to identify, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes or requests to business processes, reporting and information system needs:

  • Undertake analysis of workforce information through the mining of data, internal research to support the workforce planning process
  • Preparing data driven recommendations and advice that will interface with workforce planning initiative and lead to improved people management practices
  • Up skilling the HR team and broader business to use the data and tools on offer
  • Reporting on metrics and trends and prepare ad-hoc reports and monthly reports as necessary
  • Design data queries and perform analysis to identify workforce issues
  • Assist with the development and implementation of continuous improvement programs in human resource management
  • Conduct research and analysis on specific strategic issues relating to human resource management

As an ideal applicant, you will have;

  • Extensive Payroll experience at senior level
  • Excellent business analysis skills and knowledge of relevant business systems analysis methodologies, business process re-engineering and relevant tools and techniques
  • Ability to grasp and understand new technology concepts and translate them into opportunities for business improvements
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems including Talent2, Alesco/Ascender experience
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Strong report writing and business tools experience e.g. SQL, Discoverer etc
  • Current National Police Clearance (under 3 months)
