SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - DARWIN

Your new workplace is a family therapy service that is currently looking for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join a Multi-disclipinary team on a permanent basis in Darwin. They deliver services to individuals of all ages both on site and in the community. They have extensive experience in acute and progressive neurological disorders including: stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease, dementia, ASD, Down Syndrome, and many genetic disorders.

YOUR NEW ROLE:

  • Provide supervision, mentoring and professional support to junior Occupational Therapists
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy services to both adults and children in the NT
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates and learns from each other
  • Monitor quality of work to ensure leadership in the provision of therapeutic services across the Northern Territory
  • Provide consultations to schools, families, case workers, support workers and carers.
  • Improve the quality of services provided to people with a disability who have complex needs
  • Think strategically with regard to the development of systems and manage partnerships with other services.

ABOUT YOU:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Community experience (desirable)
  • A drive to mentor, lead and educate
  • Current Driver's License (essential!)
