Randstad is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead, own, deliver and coach network related activities.

Key accountabilities:

  • SME on all network related items.
  • SLA/OLA management across network competencies and ensure network engineers are being mentored.
  • Work within the model to ensure all work requests, project work for service are documented and managed effectively via the framework.
  • Ability to relate business needs and risks to network technology implementation solutions related requirements.
  • Technical proficiency in network, ability to function as a consultant to other stakeholders on network matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with good judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Proven ability to be able to work under stress in emergencies, flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously.
  • Strong team oriented interpersonal skills, ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people and roles.
  • Effectiveness in all aspects of core business skills, analysis, communication, writing, and negotiation.
  • Extensive reporting and capacity planning across all networking items.
  • Participate in and implement projects as required.
  • Works with your peers and other IT leaders, together with other business stakeholders to drive infrastructure strategies, directions, and roadmaps.
  • Participate within a rostered on-call afterhours support.
  • Maintain awareness of technology trends and directions in network.
  • Lead the continual improvement of the quality of Network systems and operational processes.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a senior technical infrastructure role.
  • Broad knowledge of technology including all networking, disaster recovery and data centre (Hybrid) within Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge and hands on Experience in deploying and maintaining software defined networks, specifically Cisco ACI and Cisco SDA.
  • Experience in configuration and maintaining Infoblox services.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining F5 LTM, GTM and APM services.
  • Knowledge of business risk management in networking environments.
  • Experienced in ITIL and or Cobit or other similar best practices.
  • Effective time management, able to set and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Analytical ability with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
