This is an amazing opportunity for a Senior Network and Safety Manager to improve the network performance of the road network and lead a team to improve road safety outcomes.

Based out of Parramatta you will be responsible for delivering new road safety services and programs within metropolitan Sydney. You will also be responsible for maintaining local government safety and traffic performance as well as improving road safety through the delivery of list of upcoming initiatives.

You will also be held accountable for your ability to:

  • Motivate, encourage and inspire the development of a strong, effective and efficient professional team operating ethically and with a clear focus on delivering outcomes
  • Guide the development, delivery and management of regional operational improvements, road safety and traffic management programs to achieve integrated network performance solutions
  • Put systems in place to establish a clear understanding of network performance and emerging issues in order to set directions for effective traffic management services
  • Identify mechanisms for maintaining travel reliability and opportunities for network performance improvement
  • Provide specialist traffic management advice to influence and facilitate the effective integration of new major road and public transport infrastructure and services into the operation of the road network
  • Support the Precinct Director in providing effective regional coordination and engagement to achieve positive community results and a consolidated operating environment
  • Champion the achievement of effective traffic management and reliable road transport management at a regional level through effective engagement and partnering with RMS other business areas and with key stakeholders
  • Review and improve business systems, processes and costs and report on activities, performance and issues against plans and budgets

Reporting to Director of Precincts this permanent opportunity will pay up to $184k package for the right person with an anticipated start date in June.
