Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and expert advice to ensure safe and compliant operations across the College.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and proactively adjust compliance strategies to meet evolving requirements.
- Foster positive relationships and a strong risk management culture to support and enhance compliance initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team focused on managing risks.
- Create incident response plans, audit reports, and practical recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a framework dedicated to ongoing improvements in quality, safety, and assurance activities.
- Establish robust processes for training, audits, and independent evaluations to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive the adoption of modern tools and methodologies to enhance quality assurance and compliance practices throughout the College.
Skills and Expertise:
- Demonstrated expertise in health and safety, risk, assurance, and compliance management, ideally within large, complex organisations.
- Understand regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, particularly relevant to higher education
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex regulations and standards and effectively communicating them to non-experts.
- Exceptional ability to negotiate, influence, and provide authoritative advice.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Proven success in leading audits, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance reviews.
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Postgraduate qualifications ideal
