... About the role:
The client is currently expanding it’s L&D agency-wide framework. There is a clear program of work defined to drive L&D across the agency including embedding learning journeys and career paths for key job families; optimising our existing learning technologies; advancing learning adoption including coordinating learning solutions for business units to address their learning and development plans for their people. Learning and Development is part of the Business and Corporate Services directorate. The Business and Corporate Services team plays a key role in supporting our frontline services and frontline support to deliver contemporary regulatory and other government services to Queenslanders to ensure our state’s workers, industry and communities are healthy, safe, fair and Productive.
As the Senior Learning and Development Partner, you will undertake activities relating to learning and development projects and initiatives including coordination and implementation to meet the needs of the client.
- Coordinate delivery of effective learning and development solutions and programs that respond to business unit challenges and address critical learning and development and capability issues.
- Administer and improve use and uptake of learning technologies to support learning and development across the organisation.
- Facilitate internal communication strategies including use of electronic medium, workshops, presentations as required to support the implementation of learning and development initiatives and related tools. This position also supports ongoing communications with and through the Learning and Development Network.
- Build strong relationships within to effectively coordinate, implement and review learning and development projects and initiatives.
About the individual:
- Whilst not mandatory, possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development or demonstrated experience in Organisational Development would be highly desirable.
- Government experience is not mandatory but highly desirable.
- Ability to develop learning and development or organisation development programs and initiatives that contribute to the readiness, effectiveness and high performance of employees in a large, complex and diverse organisation.
- Demonstrated experience with learning management systems and optimising use of technology in learning and development.
- Demonstrated proven analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills including the ability to negotiate, respond promptly within short timeframes, and influence stakeholders to effectively achieve program/project outcomes.
- Demonstrated communication and engagement skills, and the ability to speak with confidence in all face-to-face communications, conveying clear and compelling messages which develop strong and trusted professional relationships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, processes and stakeholders and proactively identify potential solutions, challenges and actions early and escalate for assistance in a timely way.
