This firm is an established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with over 30 years experience in delivering successful projects in Australia. With a solid reputation in the market and a steady stream of projects being awarded continuously, they have positioned themselves positively even during Melbourne’s lockdown.

They provide a full range of engineering services and specialise in delivering projects from concept to completion across a wide range of project portfolios from small scale building projects to multi-million dollar developments.

your new role

Looking to add top talent to their building services teams, they are recruiting for their Hydraulics team. Employed on a permanent full-time basis, you will ideally join as a Project or Senior Hydraulic Engineer. In this role, you will report to the Hydraulic Lead and the Directors but also have an opportunity to step up and lead the team from time to time or be a project leader.

You will be hands on in the design and analysis of hydraulic services systems across a wide range of building portfolios and work in project teams, either as a supporting engineer or a lead engineer depending on the scale of the project, taking ownership in providing engineering solutions to clients and ensuring design outcomes are compliant, efficient and cost-effective.

To be considered for the role you will need to have building services experience and meet some (if not all) of the criteria below.

your key skills and qualifications

  • Have a relevant and recognised engineering or architectural degree ; or extensive experience in the design and analysis of hydraulic services systems such as gas, domestic potable water, domestic heated water, non-potable water, rainwater reuse systems, sanitary drainage and plumbing, trade waste, stormwater drainage and rainwater reuse for the construction industry;
  • Fire services knowledge in hose reels and hydrants advantageous
  • At least five (5) years experience as a building services engineer/consultant. Engineering consulting experience is an advantage.
  • Project portfolio in the commercial, educational, residential, hospitality, industrial, refurbishment and retail sector.
  • Have proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards and legislations
  • Team player with excellent time management and communication skills
