This new to market Bank is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join and play a pivotal role in establishing financial control processes and reporting.

Reporting to the Head of Finance your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Financial Control team
  • Manage, coach and develop a new team to create a high performance culture
  • Develop financial policies and procedures ensuring alignment with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide insightful and evidence informed analysis and advice to the Head of Finance
  • Identify and facilitate continuous process and system improvements

To be considered for this role, you will require the following background:-

  • Post-graduate professional accreditation of either CA or CPA Australia
  • 7 years + experience in a similar level position with strong knowledge of Accounting principles and standards
  • Proven experience in interpreting and communicating technical accounting issues under Australian International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Tangible examples of demonstrating ownership in project and change initiatives i.e. initiating new processes, frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • A background in Corporate, Wholesale, Institutional or Business Banking
  • Satisfied in a blended, “hands on” capacity as well as able to influence, strategic level decisions
