Be part of the change management

This is quite a unique opportunity within the credit function. My client is a global leader in the world of excellence behind their products and market share both locally and internationally and this role will see you take the lead for the Sydney office - it will be a pure standalone senior credit officer role that will offer you autonomy and local control of the credit function.

The role of Credit Specialist will see you report to two Credit Managers both overseas, allowing you to run the credit function in Sydney to the best of your capability whilst also taking ownership of the Asian offices.

Key elements of this role will include the following;

  • Performing 70% collections and 30% admin
  • Guarantee risk mitigation and compliance
  • Build relationships with the financing partner & manage SLA's
  • Look at how to implement and handle process improvement
  • Identify and map out current and future market risk matters
  • Be able to look at the P&L and analysis, perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Map out floor plan finance
  • Partner closely with Sales & Finance senior management
  • Management of the commercial credit ledger - A- Z
  • performing daily collection calls/emails
  • Inventory financing experience
  • Liaising with financial institutions
  • Performing daily AR and admin tasks
  • Building key relationships internally & externally
  • Ensuring change management
  • Building lasting & trusting key relationships with dealers, customers & distributors locally & internationally
  • Developing and implement credit & collection best practices for APAC, China & Japan
  • Ensuring compliance of credit processes with the credit policy & SOX controls
  • Identify, address and communicate market risk and opportunities
  • Manage the relationship with the financing partner
  • Enhance the KYC process

The successful profile will ideally have the following attributes in order to be successful in this role;

  • Stable and successful career history in the credit function, ideally coming from a strong credit background
  • Superb communication skills both verbally and oral
  • The ability to build excellent relationships internally & externally
  • Ideally, you will come from a Finance/Banking background or have worked in an international business
  • Strong leadership abilities whilst being result & business-oriented
  • Experience ideally in inventory financing
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills ( pivot tables, dashboard, v lookups) etc.
  • University degree in finance or accounting
  • Background in credit/finance ideally five + years experience within an international environment

This is a sensational opportunity to join a highly rewarding organisation that offers global mobility along with career alignment and a professional environment. Please contact Nicola Barrett for further information.
