About the Role
... The purpose of the position is to provide project cost estimation services for all stages of Delivery Management projects, building and maintaining competitive pricing schedule databases, and ensuring that WHS, Community and environmental issues are integrated into the development of cost plans.
Candidates for this position must possess a Tertiary qualification in Estimating, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Trades or related field, coupled with experience on Civil Infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost estimation processes and procedures, including providing input for improvement.
- Ensure the consideration of WHS, Community and environmental issues are integrated into the development of all cost plans and estimates.
- Prepare Project cost plans ensuring project scope, design/specification guidelines and timeline are considered - Budget estimates and business cases, Regional Delivery Consortia pricing schedules, Assessment and calculation of contingency costs associated with risks and opportunities including design development, procurement and price escalation, Change notices for jobs as the project scope changes
- Analyse spreadsheets to ensure labour and material costs meet tender and project requirements.
- Review tender costing associated with single source supply to identify anomalies in cost comparison as required.
Please note this role will be located in Parramatta, and come with hybrid working arrangements. You will work 35 hours per week.
About You
You will be an experienced Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidates will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Trades or related field, or experience deemed equivalent
- Quantity Surveying/Project Estimating qualification desirable
- Proven business acumen and planning skills in project management and estimating
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with an understanding of market factors and stakeholder expectations
- Extensive experience with project estimating software systems
- Ability to successfully manage multiple cost estimating projects simultaneously
