Randstad is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to focus on a current financial SAP system. You will be responsible for providing data and process analysis support to identify further improvement opportunities, monitor the outcomes of changes and whether the changes implemented are having the desired improvement outcomes. Additionally, you will need to provide support and input into the monitoring of the improvements providing feedback on the success of those improvements.

Key accountabilities:

  • Undertake detailed analysis, facilitation and documentation activities as assigned.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the business teams responsible for managing the improvement initiatives.
  • Lead various improvement activities including data analysis, process and procedure development.
  • Manage and report on progress against assigned responsibilities/tasks.
  • Proactively collaborate with key business stakeholders to produce quality deliverables on time.
  • Provide input into risk and issue identification and management, reporting and communication.
  • Manage relationships with key initiative owners and their staff and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain set standards for documentation.
  • Lead and/or assist in the implementation of updated or new processes ensuring that communications and training material has been developed, is accurate and can be delivered.
  • As required, prepare draft training materials and artefacts to support the implementation of updated processes.
  • Condense information and transform technical data into easily understandable outputs.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholder team members to analyse and validate outputs and identify further refinements to improve processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of meeting documentation, minutes and agendas as required.
  • Analysing the information and data gathered and validating through review, analysis and further investigation as required and recommend improvement opportunities as required.

Key challenges:

  • Balancing competing priorities of the varying initiatives within the program.
  • To successfully support business initiative leads and their staff who have competing operational priorities, to meet their deliverables within time, cost and resource constraints;
  • Working to meet initiative timelines.
  • Maintaining scope and results focus within a business environment undergoing other significant transformation initiatives.
  • Geographically dispersed stakeholders to liaise with.
  • Supporting and sometimes managing initiative deliverables where there is a dependency on deliverables that are outside the scope of the initiative.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in process re-engineering or change projects especially and preparing the necessary documentation
  • SAP Financials, HR and Payroll preferably with ECC6;
  • MS-Visio, MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint or similar
  • Tenacity and problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently with little direction and oversight
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Sound documentation skills
  • Exposure to finance and procurement functions ideally with a focus on the following process and application areas:
    -Operational Procurement
    - Accounts payable
    - Month end processes particularly with journal processing
    - Payroll processes
    - General ledger
