Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of payroll processes, systems, and data flows to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assist with project planning and strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders across various departments, ensuring clear communication and effective translation into technical specifications.
- Develop comprehensive process maps and user journeys, utilising methods like workshops, one-on-one interviews, and Agile sprint cycles.
- Facilitate workshops and ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, articulating complex analyses clearly to guide decision-making.
- Work closely with the Payroll Delivery Lead and vendor teams to ensure systems configuration meets business-as-usual (BAU) requirements, while aligning with user stories and functional/non-functional specifications.
- Identify potential project risks and issues, collaborating with teams to develop and execute effective mitigation plans.
- Plan and coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that implemented solutions effectively address business needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business process documentation to support ongoing system operations and future enhancements.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 5 years as a Business/Payroll Analyst in complex enterprise environments, with a focus on payroll systems and processes.
- Proficient in tier-1 payroll software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills, with strong documentation abilities focused on business processes and functional specifications.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including user stories, backlog management, and sprint planning.
- In-depth understanding of payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Must hold a current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be eligible for the same, and undergo a clear National Criminal History Check (NCHC).
