Randstad is a supplier to SA Government under the SA Government across Government Temporary Staff Panel and provide temporary staff for ICT. We are also a supplier to major commercial ASX listed companies for professional ICT contract staffing.

ABOUT THE ROLES



We are seeking applications from Senior Analyst Programmer based in South Australia who can demonstrate a successful work history within Government or Local Councils for current and upcoming ICT projects.

  • Planning, testing, programming and maintaining mainframe financial applications software and associated systems.
  • Analysing and resolving technical and programming issues related to applications and linked system software in collaboration with client agencies and stakeholders.
  • Providing expert advice, consultation and assistance to clients. Advise agencies on specific application software issues involving both package functionality and interfacing systems
  • Advising on and from time to time setting up financial databases in accordance with whole-of-government principles.
  • manage systems necessary for the proper auditing, backup and disaster recovery of financial applications software and client financial data/databases
  • work collaboratively with client agencies to maintain the integrity of financial data from an Information Technology perspective.
  • Contributing to the realisation of a range of significant project outcomes by undertaking projects and/or participating in project teams.

ABOUT YOU

Having worked in a similar role, you will demonstrate sound relevant knowledge and experience in the following :

  • Experience developing and maintaining complex financial management systems within a z/OS mainframe JES2 environment together with a Relational Database Management System and associated batch and on-line environments.
  • Experience in the use of batch and CICS COBOL for system development and maintenance.
  • Experience coding within and for a TSO-ISPF environment, including CLIST and REXX code.
  • Experience in the use of Sort-exits for data extraction.
  • Experience in the use of job-scheduling tools such as JCL, CONTROL-M and CA-7.
  • Experience in the use of output management tools such as CA_SPOOL and CONTROL-D.
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new mainframe facilities as they become available and integrate into production systems. (e.g. XML)
  • Experience in identifying and resolving technical mainframe issues either internally or through liaison with external service providers.
  • Knowledge of government business and general accounting processes and systems.
  • Proven high level communication skills, including the provision of expert advice on mainframe technology of a critical and complex nature.
  • Ability to work with high levels of autonomy and to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritise workloads and meet on-call requirements.

Experience working within Local Council or Government will be highly regarded, specifically Health, Education, Transportation, Defence, Environment, Finance and Government administration.

A current DCSI Clearance is required, or the ability to obtain one.
