Secondary School Teacher - Specialist School

Unique opportunity for a fully Qualified Secondary Teacher at an innovative, alternative community school in Sydney’s West.

The Role:

  • Secondary Teacher - SEN / Behavioural
  • Full Time Teaching Position
  • Working with Years 7 - 12
  • Willingness to work with challenging teenagers in a small school environment

We are seeking a confident and reliable secondary teacher with a strong work ethic who is confident in delivering a variety of subjects with a main focus on Visual Arts and/or Mandatory Technology. Qualifications and/or experience in teaching the noted subjects would be an advantage.

The Successful Teacher Will:

  • Have recent relevant SEN/behavioural experience
  • Confident classroom practitioner
  • Ability to adapt to last minute changes
  • Strong behavioural management experience
  • Valid teaching qualifications
  • Working with children check
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Willingness to adopt ethos of school

The School:

The school is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational high school meeting the educational and social needs of adolescents excluded from, or not coping with, mainstream schooling. The school is currently registered and accredited by NESA to enrol Years 7 to 12 at our Hebersham Campus.
