About the role:

As a part of a large ICT Cyber Security Improvement Program a Security Analyst is required to join one of our key clients on a contract basis until June 2019 with a potential extension.

As part of the program there is a strong focus on writing Security Policies and so this role will be heavily focussed on reviewing and creating the required policies.

This role will also support the implementation partners as well as BAU work as required.


Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain security processes to ensure that access to the companies systems are effectively controlled and maintained
  • Assess the security impact of proposed changes to the companies systems and mitigate or avoid risk
  • Review changes to ICT security infrastructure and architecture which may impact ICT security adequacy
  • Establish and maintain ICT security procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure alignment with relevant standards, DHHS 72 baseline cyber security controls, legislation, regulations, business requirements and industry trends
  • Maintain security awareness amongst all staff
  • Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the technical implementation of ICT security
  • Contribute to security improvement projects, coordinating resources as appropriate
  • Ensure effective remediation of identified instances of non-conformance or high risk
  • Take ownership and resolve any security related incidents or events
  • Security related experience with technology types including Cisco security suite, Microsoft Linux and Oracle.
  • Develop and maintain ICT security procedures; ensure compliance with Health Records Act 2001(Vic), Privacy and Data Protection Act 2015 (Vic), DHHS 72 Baseline cyber security controls and Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth)
  • Develop and implement systems and processes for the assessment of compliance with security policy, standards and good practice in business and business systems
  • Provide the necessary information flow to allow reporting of ICT risk and security adequacy, performance, and trends to the business
