MATHEMATICS SPECIALIST

The Role:

  • Full time ongoing employment
  • Senior Mathematics specialist who can teach Physics also
  • Term 1, 2021 start
  • Encouraged to review and attend professional development opportunities
  • Report to Head of Faculty (and responsible to the Principal)
  • Ability to provide quality learning experiences; a controlled, positive classroom environment conducive to learning; a caring, supportive classroom environment conducive to optimum personal development; remediation and extension activities as identified.

Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in a similar role (5+ years’ experience)
  • Knowledge of and experience in the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and the QCAA syllabus documents
  • Ability to meet expectations for administration duties, technical skills, and communication skills
  • QCT registration
  • Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights (no sponsorship available)
  • 2 professional references
  • Comply with College policies (WHS obligations)
  • An ability to hold a Working with Children – Blue Card as issued by the Queensland Government
  • An ability to hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
