Are you an enthusiastic and conscientious Maths teacher, ready for a new challenge? Randstad Education has great positions available as a Secondary Maths teacher. The school is about 10 km from Darwin city and is acclaimed for its outstanding academic achievements, strong social justice program and international engagement.

This school facilitates students from early years up to year 12 and you will be part of a dynamic team. The school's program is enhanced by a strong commitment to develop in their students the life skills that are essential for living and working successfully as adults.

What is expected from you?

  • Your delivery of the curriculum caters for students with varying learning styles and ensures best practice in pedagogy
  • You keep up-to-date with modern teaching practices within their subject area
  • Either have knowledge of, or be prepared to learn an explicit instruction model
  • You use a variety of assessment tasks for students to experience success and accurately assess levels of student achievement
  • You attend relevant professional development sessions within their subject area

What are the requirements?

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience teaching secondary school students;
  • the ability to respond to the differing needs and talents of all students especially in relation to gender difference;
  • You must have relevant teaching qualifications;
  • have a valid current teacher registration with TRB (or be able to register under the MR agreement); and
  • have an Ochre Card.
