Summary:

Fantastic opportunity for a Lead Science teacher to join a independent school in Tasmania, directing to the director of Studies and District Principal. The school welcomes staff who are prepared to go the extra mile for their students and is keen to support teachers, students

The role:

Science and Technologies (Inc. Digital Tech and Design subjects) for a full time opportunity teaching years 7 - 12, as a lead teacher reporting to the Director of Studies and District Principal.

Independent school offering co-educational education. Based in Hobart and is one of three campuses in Tasmania and part of a wider global organisation. The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate and model the School’s principles, ethos and approaches to teaching and learning, whilst acting as a role model for professionals.
  • Take an active role in school planning as required and participate in decision making processes as a curriculum leader in the School.
  • Resource management, mentoring new staff and actively supporting the existing, to ensure they are aware of how to correctly teach specific subject matter and manage their classes effectively when doing so.
  • Encourage a team approach across campuses.
  • Act as a role model for excellent teaching practices for both staff and students.
