Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and drive a small but high performing sales team
- Sales Strategy Development: Develops and implements effective sales strategies to exceed sales targets. Identifies key opportunities and market trends to drive business growth.
- Relationship Building: Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and other decision-makers in the construction industry. Acts as a trusted advisor, understanding their needs and providing tailored product solutions.
- Product Expertise: Possesses in-depth knowledge of architectural and specification products. Stays updated on industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Specification Development: Collaborates with architects and designers to ensure product specifications in construction projects. Provides technical expertise and support during the specification process.
- Sales Presentations: Delivers compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients. Clearly communicates product features and benefits, addressing client needs and concerns effectively.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiates contracts and closes sales deals. Works closely with clients to finalize project specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Market Analysis: Conducts market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities. Uses this information to adjust sales strategies and product offerings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience in specification sales within the architectural and construction industry.
- Strong network of contacts within the architectural and design community.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand complex product specifications.
