In this autonomous role, you will report to the National Sales Manager. In essence, you will be leveraging new sales from existing accounts, as part of an ambitious but realistic sales policy. The focus will be on building relationships with customers and understanding their needs. You will be promoting a dedicated line of products as well as service and spare parts solutions to customers. You will be on the road as face to face engagement with customers will be expected.

The Company

Our client is a global water technology provider with divisions encompassing product design, supply, installation and post-installation service. In Queensland, they service mining, resources and municipal customers in the main. They are a recognised leader in the products and services they provide. In Australia they have experienced consistent growth and have built longstanding relationships with distributors and service partners. They have offices nationwide and are looking to add an experienced Sales Engineer to their Brisbane office.

The Role

In this autonomous role, you will report to the National Sales Manager. In essence, you will be leveraging new sales from existing accounts, as part of an ambitious but realistic sales policy. The focus will be on building relationships with customers and understanding their needs. You will be promoting a dedicated line of products as well as service and spare parts solutions to customers. You will be on the road as face to face engagement with customers will be expected. Your role will have full access to marketing and technical resources to support building your book of business. You will also receive close support from your colleagues in the sales engineering team and your National Sales Manager. That said, you will not be micromanaged in developing new business opportunities.

Your Profile

You will have demonstrated experience in sourcing new business and converting leads into sales. You will possess the technical experience required to understand customer requirements. You will have highly developed communication skills and proven history in developing key industry relationships. You will have experience in solution selling, typically in a project led environment. You will be a dedicated team player.

Pump and water experience would be a strong nice to have. Technical sales experience to mining customers, particularly around slurry products, would be highly regarded.

In return, you will be paid a highly competitive base salary with above average Superannuation along with an attractive and achievable bonus structure. A fully maintained vehicle will be provided. A car allowance can be paid instead if you need to see out a lease. A mobile phone and laptop will also be provided.
