With KRONOS newly transition into this organisation, we are seeking a super user of the KRONOS system to join this small but dynamic team. You will assist in the both the day to day functions of providing exceptional rostering support and further guidance & training to the wider organisation of working with the KRONOS system. This is a great opportunity for someone with a high level of KRONOS and rostering experience to step in and become an integral and valued member of the team.

The role

The role of this position is to ensure the effective management, coordination and data entry of rosters within the the organisation and to liaise with staff and managers across the metro and regional offices to ensure that staff members are accurately assigned to business as usual shifts and emergency shifts as an event occurs (Declared Operations).

This integral role will see you complete such tasks as:

  • Respond to manager and employee enquires, provide timely and accurate advice on operational rostering administration matters
  • Ensure governance and quality assurance requirements/standards are met for both rosters and the KRONOS Rostering System
  • Introduce support tools and provide on the job training (potentially) and support to team members to support the effective and efficient introduction of system and process changes.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely allocation of staff across multiple work site
  • Manage all rosters and be responsible for keeping KRONOS up to date with all approved declared operations and Duty Officer/ Standing by for recall to Duty rosters and changes to rosters as they occur.
  • This will involve setting up a new/ consistent business processes for the management of duty officer rosters across all directorates.
  • Work with the project team with regards to Scheduler to provide SME advice, and maintain it after project closure.
  • Be the first point of call for all staff and managers when they have queries around their own timecard or how to approve their staff timecards. This role will use Lync to access and assist staff in real time
  • Provide training to all staff in the use of KRONOS – formal training sessions, small group training and one on one training
  • Work with any projects relating to Chris21/KRONOS to provide SME advice
  • Run the KRONOS User group – manage the list of usability issues and work with the system administrators and projects to come up with solutions
  • Work with the KRONOS User group to work to resolve business issues using KRONOS where possible
  • Work with Operations to look at improving any rostering processes where possible
  • Review and follow up with individuals where timecards have not been approved by cob Monday (fortnightly)
  • Review and follow up with team leaders/managers where they have not approved their staff timecards and/or not all entitlements have been approved
  • Work with the Business Partners and Finance to review those timecards and manual changes that needs review and updating before manual corrections
  • Work with P&D Business Partners and Finance to Send communications to Managers/Staff of manual changes made to Chris21 and why

Ideally the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong experience using KRONOS Workforce Central (scheduler and timekeeper)
  • Confident in their own Knowledge to educate and train other across the KRONOS System
  • Solid experience in a similar role as roster administrator / coordinator
  • High level administration, organisational and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in preparation, entry and processing of roster data
  • High attention to detail, strong data entry skills and able to work to specific deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an environment which is frequently changing and has high customer expectations and competing priorities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
