... About the Centre
Our client is located in the City of Greater Bendigo, Victoria. This is a brand new 102 place purpose built centre opening in January 2025. The centre will provide the community with Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs as well as long day care. The centre will have outdoor play areas as well as a community room for child and family services such as maternal and child health, and room for community meetings and playgroups.
About the Roles
We are looking for room leaders as well as certificate III and diploma qualified educators.
Room Leader key duties will include:
- Ensure effective delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care for babies, toddlers and children
- Lead the planning and programming process in collaboration with other educators to maintain the centre’s educational program and philosophy, ensuring all practices align with national standards and regulations
- Collaborates with the management team to model pedagogical practices that align with the educational philosophy of the service, fosters a positive work culture through mentoring educators, and actively engages with families to cultivate a supportive environment
Key duties for all roles will include:
- Support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education, guided by evidence-informed contemporary pedagogy and practice
- Contributing to the planning and implementing the educational program, monitoring children’s progress, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Promoting a positive and supportive team culture
- Ensuring the centre meets safety and compliance standards
About you:
- Certificate III and/or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (mandatory)
- Sound understanding of the EYLF and good early childhood practices
- Experience working towards (and achieving) targets as well as meeting safety and compliance standards
- Strong communication skills with children, families, the community and the team within the centre
- Ability to work within a flexible and changing environment
- Willing to create and support a culture of collaboration by building effective relationships
- Able to demonstrate the values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights
