Our client is an independent, co-educational, primary and secondary school in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. We are searching for a Compliance and Quality Officer to join their lovely team to ensure that all the school’s policy and procedures comply with NESA, CRICOS, IBO and ECED/ACECQA. Reporting to and being the sole advisor to the Principle, and Executive team, the selected candidate would join a multicultural team of professionals as a key advisor on regulatory and compliance administration.

The Role:

Within this role, it will be the duty of the Compliance and Quality Officer to ensure that all existing policy and procedures at the school adhere to the regulation of NSW Education Standards Australia (NESA) as well as The Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students.

  • Supervise, maintain and prepare documentation regarding the key learning areas to NESA
  • Analyse existing quality and policy framework, ensure that it meets regulation, and identifying gaps for improvement
  • Prepare and submit high quality reporting material to Department of Education and Training NESA and CRICOS a required
  • Work with internal and external stakeholder to implement necessary changes within the team to ensure business in maintaining necessary standards
  • Provide administration or other support within the team an required

About you:

To be a successful candidate you would have worked in a similar Compliance and Quality Officer role as well as:

  • Accredited Child Protection Investigator – essential
  • Extensive experience in regulatory compliance
  • Previous position in the Education section - desirable
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring you are flexible and able adapt to working with people from all different backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to interpret French – beneficial
