Risk and Claim Officer

Summary

Urgent requirement for a Risk and Claim Officer to join local government based in Rockdale. You will assist with the implementation and continued operation of enterprise risk management in order to generate corporate benefits and to minimise exposure to a wide range of risks.

The Role

  • Coordinates Council’s insurable risks (except workers compensation and motor vehicles) including claims management, insurance premiums and associated optimisation strategies.
  • Coordinates the identification, analysis, addressing and reporting of risks across the Council.
  • Assists with the strategic policy and culture change in moving the organisation from a focus on risk management to a broader ‘enterprise risk management’.

You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Available for immediate start
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desirable to have experience working in the public sector
  • Beneficial to have worked with liability and claims management
