The purpose of the role

To prevent injuries and illness in the implementation of Health, Safety and Wellbring initiatives. Assisting with development, implementation and continuous improvement, WHS management systems including policies, procedures and programs that foster a productive, proactive 'Zero Harm" culture that ensures WHS compliance as a minimum standard.

·Assist with the implementation of WHS Strategy
·Assist with the implementation of safety policies and procedures
·Assist managers and supervisors with investigations of incidents and hazard management
·Determine and implement in conjunction with managers, corrective actions arising from investigations
·Advise on incident prevention strategies and assist in their implementation
·Drive the WHS risk management process across the operations business unit and provide key stakeholders with assistance and advice as required
·Participate in safety culture of 'zero karm'
·Assist in maintaining WHS system and online reporting system
·Conduct WHS Audits and inspections
·Plan and devlop and deliver WHS training as required
·Conduct safety inductions
·Hazard and incident reporting
·Injury management and return to work
·Emergency reponse requirements must be managed
·Manage first aid requirements

·Relevant WHS qualifications
·First aid cert
·Return to work coordinator certificate
·Sound knowledg of Australian WHS legislation
·Proven experience
·Ability to review documentation, monitor compliance and assist in the development of safety programs
·Competency in Computers
·Exceptional work ethic and willingness to learn
