The Financial Markets business is a division of my clients Investment Bank and trades a number of derivative products both locally and internationally of which have regulatory reporting requirements.

The role of the Reporting Analyst is to ensure that derivative reporting to regulators is sent on time, complete and accurate. The Reporting Analyst performs this by monitoring controls, and undertaking a series of procedural tasks on a daily basis. Products which the Reporting Analyst will oversee include Interest Rate Swaps, FX Derivatives, Credit Derivatives and Commodities products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Resubmissions of trade reports that did not pass validations at the Trade Repository
  • Record and publish statistics on trade submissions and percentages of straight through processing
  • Perform reconciliations on trade positions
  • Take full ownership of all tasks and ad-hoc requests relating to your role and also be able to assist others in the team
  • Engage with other team members to find solutions for outstanding issues
  • Regularly document procedures and checklist as business activities

Compliance

  • Ensure all Compliance, Audit and escalation procedures are adhered too.

Complete all relevant online compliance training within agreed time frames

Risk Management

  • Ensure all procedures, policies and controls are being adhered to in order to protect the firms reputation.

Escalations are completed within team guidelines and given to the Team Leader within the required time frames

What experience will the Candidate bring to this role?

The ideal Candidate will have:

· 2-5 years industry experience in an Operations environment.

· PC Literacy including a good understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· Knowledge of one of the following systems an advantage - Murex, DTCC, MarkitWire, DSMatch

· Product Knowledge of Debt Market Products

· Knowledge of one of the following regulations an advantage - CFTC, ASIC, ESMA or MIFID

· Occupational Health and Risk awareness.

· Customer Experience
