Aged Care Supervisor/Manager

Job Overview

We have outstanding opportunities at several Aged Care Facilities around the Northern suburbs of Melbourne for passionate and experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to work with a highly reputable and iconic community services organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
  • Administering medications to residence and monitoring them for side effects and reactions.
  • Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.
  • Recording patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
  • Administering non-intravenous medications.
  • Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating resident nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
  • Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses.
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality while relating to clients, families, carers, colleagues and others as appropriate
  • A team player with strong organizational skills, adaptable and able to solve problems, enthusiastic and supportive team members.
  • Maintain accurate and legible records of all administrative functions of the programs and are submitted within allocated timeframes
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • All concerns are reported to team leader/manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant experience
  • Patient, flexible and understanding
  • Supportive and caring nature
  • Commitment to the rights of the elderly to live dignified lives
  • Able to accept responsibility
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to cope with the physical demands of the job
  • Have completed a First Aid
