The Role:

Reporting to the Residential Manager and Care Services Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of quality nursing care to residents in the most ethical and efficient manner. The Registered Nurse, is responsible for applying clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality, including team leadership, coordination and delegation of resident care needs to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers. You will be leading a team who will look to you as a role model for service standards so this is a great opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and passion for leadership and staff development. Your responsibilities:

  • Resident Care - deliver excellence in holistic nursing care to residents and their families.
  • Ensure residents are enabled to maintain their ability to make decisions and exercise
    choice as cognitively able
  • Lead and influence the delivery of care through role modelling best practice, evidence based, comprehensive contemporary assessment and care planning practices.
  • Ccoordinate and undertake comprehensive assessment and care planning / evaluation
  • Manage and allocate workloads according to resident’s needs and staff skills and experience
  • Maintain accurate records, administration and documentation - gain understanding of ACFI
  • Keep up to date with professional development and share knowledge with your team
  • Look for ways to improve service delivery and initiate change where needed.
  • Be the best RN you can be.

The requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a RN - 2 years exp post grad
  • Leadership experience and or strong capability to lead, motivate and engage a team
  • Previous experience as a RN in Aged Care
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Passion for making a difference in day to day lives of residents
  • Aged care experience as a RN preferred, or excellent knowledge of the aged care sector
