    An outstanding opportunity has presented itself to join this great company located in Bayswater, Melbourne for a Recruitment Officer. The successful candidate will ideally be available in a full time capacity, however part time can be accommodated (0.8 FTE). The day to day activities will include providing internal end-to-end recruitment and selection services across the company including managing recruitment approvals, discussing candidate sourcing strategies and navigating skills shortages, and coaching and mentoring hiring managers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Working with the candidate management system (PageUp) to create, maintain and use talent pools
    • Finalising position descriptions, phone screening, shortlisting, candidate liaison and conducting interviews and coordinating pre-employment checks
    • Working closely with Human Resources Business Partners to finalise contract negotiations and contract issues and onboarding documentation
    • Ensuring established recruitment procedures are followed from all management and team members such as approvals for roles and recruitment process steps
    • Manage visa employees and subsequent applications in conjunction with migration partners and monitor visa expiry dates and application requests and supplying supporting documentation for them as necessary
    • Other miscellaneous ad hoc tasks as required

    Key Selection Criteria:

    • Relevant experience in HR or within a recruitment position.
    • Minimum 1 year's experience in bulk internal or agency recruitment & selection with exposure to blue collar/trades/services-type workforce
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience in recruitment management systems such as Page Up – preferred but not essential
