Role Objective:
Ensure information is managed, recorded, and classified in compliance with the Public Records Act 1973, other relevant legislation, and policies. Provide quality information management services, support, and advice to internal staff and external customers, while contributing to the improvement of information management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, including sorting, classifying, and registering hard copy and electronic mail.
- Oversee archives, including lodgement, retrieval, and preparation of outward mail.
- Advise staff on best practices for information management.
- Ensure proper disposal and transfer of records to the Public Records Office per legislation.
- Maintain and assist with Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
- Support staff with records management procedures, training, and system use.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in information management.
- Participate in team meetings, report hazards, and follow safety procedures.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Formal qualification or relevant experience in Information Management, particularly in records, documents, or image management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
- Experience with EDRMS, preferably Content Manager.
- Knowledge of record-keeping principles.
- Ability to manage time and work independently.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Awareness of health and safety practices in the workplace.
