• Provide general administrative and clerical support functions including organising meetings and
conferences, word processing, data entry, record maintenance and maintaining stores and stationery
• Prepare correspondence, generate subpoena and police notices from CASES to assist Legal staff with
practice management.
• Accurately compile and photocopy material for prosecution and assist Legal staff in case preparation.
• Provide quality reception service by screening all phone calls and responding to enquiries professionally
and in a timely manner.
Key challenges
• Determine work priorities to ensure competing deadlines and demands are met and to ensure
diplomacy and sensitivity when dealing with all stakeholders.
• Working with a diverse group of people, which may include contact with distressed victims of matters
being prosecuted by the Office. Act confidentially and ethically in relation to any public attention or
scrutiny.
• Exposure to traumatic material and events relating to criminal matters, which may heighten the risk of
developing vicarious trauma
