Senior Quality Assessor (APS6)

A great opportunity to start a career as a senior quality assessor. If you have the right background and experience, you will be provided with additional training to be successful in this role.

In this role you will travel aged care facilities and services providers to assess their quality and conduct risk audits within a regulatory framework. You will be working in a Federal Government Agency with national opportunities across Australia in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth.

Your new role

As a site assessor, you will complete accreditation audits and perform risk assessments for residential aged care services, home care services and flexi-care services. This will involve

  • Meeting with consumers to assess care and service quality
  • Conduct interviews with and collect evidence
  • Collate and analyse evidence to produce corresponding reports and recommendations
  • Apply findings within aged care standards and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks
  • Extensive travel within each state involving overnight travel on a weekly or fortnightly basis

What you will need to be successful

Your background will either be in auditing and risk management ideally within aged care. Alternatively, you may be from a clinical nursing background in the health sector, working in investigations or quality framework. In addition to this industry experience, you will need to be someone with strong critical thinking and analytical skills. As you will be writing reports you will need to have excellent written skills.

  • You must be an Australian citizen with a current drivers licence
  • Willingness for overnight travel on a weekly or fortnightly basis
  • Successful completion of a national police check and influenza vaccination is required prior to starting this role
