Position Overview:
The Hallett Green Cement Transformation Project is the most significant carbon reduction innovation project ever contemplated in the Australian cement and concrete industry.
Hallett Group will construct a sovereign manufacturing capability to process and distribute 3 streams of Australian generated industrial waste by-products into low carbon green cement products utilising established renewable energy sources. With a job creating investment of $125 million split across the regional city of Port Augusta along with new infrastructure in Port of Adelaide the project will reduce Australian CO 2 emissions of 300,000 tonnes per annum immediately, growing to approximately 1 million tonnes per annum in years to come. This amounts to approximately 1% of the entire Australian 2030 CO 2 reduction target.
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for the creation, management, and monitoring of project schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction projects. The role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain project timelines and deliverables within this development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Project Schedules: Create detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to plan all phases of the construction project.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly update and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against established timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other team members to gather project information and integrate it into the overall schedule.
- Identify Risks: Analyze schedule data to identify potential risks, delays, or bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Resource Allocation: Assist in the allocation of resources by determining the necessary labor, materials, and equipment required for each phase of the project.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, including critical path analysis, to project stakeholders.
- Maintain Communication: Ensure effective communication of the project schedule to all relevant parties and provide schedule updates as required.
- Change Management: Manage schedule changes and variations, ensuring that any adjustments are documented and communicated to the project team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling within the construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and strong knowledge of CPM scheduling techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scheduling information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive schedule management.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing schedules and reporting.
