About the Role

The Project Officer will provide advice, support and assitance to the project team. This role will be involved with a multi-million dollar project, therefore, this requires experienced personnel.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, support and assistance to the project team in the storage and management of all project documentation and in the use of corporate and project's electronic document management systems
  • Record and file all technical documentation, principally incoming and outgoing contractual documents (e.g. transmittals, drawings, schedules, registers, NCR/CAR's)
  • Support the site engineering and surveillance resources regarding paperwork
  • Assist with progress paymentsfor main contracts and other major contracts
  • Updating of variation, RFI, HP/WP, NCR/CAR, Correspondence Register
  • Update drawings and technical documents with revisions
  • Prepare and distribute minutes and agenda of project team/contractor internal meetings
  • Assist with meeting arrangements on site

Requirements

  • Extnsive project-based experience as a document controller, or related project controls, project administration and/or quality control experience
  • Proven experience in a project environment with electronic records and/or document management systems, project management systems or engineering management systems
  • Ability to analyse information received and maintain effective records
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated hgih level administration skills with strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of a construction or engineering based work environment will be highly regarded
