Randstad is currently seeking a Project officer APS5 looking to develop their career in the Federal Government. The Project Officer supports the administration and delivery of matters relating to corporate, governance and election readiness functions, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives. This position is an agile position and during the election cycle will be required to contribute to the delivery of different projects as agency priorities necessitate and as directed by management. Prepare tender documentation, contribute to the evaluation of proposals received from tenderers and prepare contract documentationContribute to the preparation of briefs and prepare other content in relation to the project for consideration by more senior staffConduct research and analysis to obtain evidence based conclusions and assist in the management, preparation and coordination of policy or procedure formulation and/or project managementMaintain financial records and prepare financial informationWith guidance, develop and drive delivery of key governance mechanisms Develop and maintain key internal and external relationshipsProvide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities What you will needProven understanding of project management methodologies and experience in delivering within a project framework. Knowledge and experience in delivering and/or overseeing corporate governance activities.Ability to prepare written work that is well constructed and adapted to the needs of the audience. Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Mentor staff, assist with training and promote professionalism.
