The Vacany

A state government community safety body is seeking a skilled grants administrator for a 4 month contract due to a sceondment in the exisiting team. This body is entering a period of increased workload and need someone to come in and immediately contribute.

About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the assessment, administration and reporting of community safety based grants applications. They will also, gather and analyse evidence to assess grant recipient performance and identify risks, issues and improvement opportunities.

Duties

  • Conduct high quality administration of community grants applications
  • Assess grant qualification & process successful grant applications
  • Identify and assess business risks and issues
  • Develop relationships with funding recipients
  • Plan and conduct effective and purposeful engagements with stakeholders
  • Gather and analyse evidence to assess funding recipient performance against grant requirements and policies
  • Provide targetted advice to grants applicants

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Experience with SMARTYgrants software preferred
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in grants administration
  • Ablity to apply legisilation and policy in decision making
