About the company for the project manager role:

An opportunity to join one of Sydney’s well known and oldest builders. They have a great company structure with strong office support. They pay their subbies on time, have blue chip clients and are very good at delivering industrial and warehouse projects. With 30 staff in NSW and around 100 in VIC they are a builder that know and look after all of their employees

As a project manager you will initially work on a new project in Prestons, a 10,000sqm 2 storey warehouse which starts in 6 weeks or on a industiral project in Meadowbank

Duties of the project manager

  • Manage, liaise and coordinate subcontractors
  • Attend client meetings during the construction phase.
  • Monitor and update project schedules.
  • Ensure project is delivered on time and on cost.
  • Contribute to monthly project progress report meetings.
  • Assist in site set up and final handover.
  • Proven track record working as part of a large team in a busy live environment.

Skills and Experience Required

  • High level of planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate high level man management skills
  • Record of liaising with subcontractors
  • Track record of working closely with PM’s
  • Understand and interpret budgets
  • Record of dealing with residential projects
  • Excellent communication skills

Skills and Experience required

  • Demonstrate project success with previous employers
  • Previous experience delivering industrial or commercial projects
  • Manage project expenditure and cash-flow to optimise project financial outcomes
  • Possess a sound understanding of construction techniques
  • A passionate, confident and positive attitude
  • Have great communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with on site contractors, property managers and clients.
  • A trade background is preferred
  • A desire to progress and develop within a company
