About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the final stages of a project. This role will engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including representatives from the Warehouse & Logistics team, Facilities, Information Technology, Health & Safety (HSE), and third-party vendors.
Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating the installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of systems, ensuring a smooth transition to operationalisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of critical systems including CCTV, AV, IT, network, security, and access control.
- Preparation for Operations: Coordinate HSE reviews, staff inductions, equipment procurement, signage installation, evacuation procedures, traffic management, cleaning contracts, and racking solutions.
- Staff Move-in and Operationalisation: Manage all activities required for staff to move into the new facility, ensuring a seamless transition.
- Project Governance: Develop readiness checklists, manage scheduling, monitor financial forecasting, and provide status reporting.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, manage, and report risks and issues to ensure the project stays on track.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across various teams and third-party contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Communications: Draft general communications and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Minor Procurement: Manage minor procurement activities to support project requirements.
- System Readiness Coordination: Work closely with technical teams responsible for system setup to ensure all systems are operational before handover.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, working on similar projects
- Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, with a focus on interdependencies and outcomes.
- Strong scheduling, financial forecasting, and reporting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements and best practices in project environments.
- Experience in coordinating the installation of technical systems such as CCTV, IT networks, and security systems is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications in project management or related fields.
