As the Programme Acceleration and Efficiency Manager, you are responsible for leading and managing the successful implementation of project acceleration initiatives.

Reporting to the General Manager for Project Excellence, you will coordinate with various internal stakeholders and external contractors to support the design and implementation of initiatives, manage progress, identify process improvement opportunities and support the resolution of issues related to project acceleration.

key accountabilites include:

Support project leadership and onsite teams to identify and prioritise project acceleration initiatives based on project need and expected level of impact
Create and regularly update the model that quantifies the level of impact of the initiatives on the project
Cultivate relationships across the project stakeholders to gain buy in. In particular, ability to engage with senior management at the contractor maintaining strict confidentiality protocols and to gain their respective confidences
Supporting initiative leads with project management and business support in driving and delivering against acceleration opportunities
Supporting initiative owners and teams in delivery in maintaining and measuring acceleration once the initiative teams have moved on to the next area of focus
Supporting the GM, project acceleration who chairs the Project Acceleration Governance meeting with materials reporting on progress and identify issues that merit escalation and further investigation by senior leadership

You will promote a culture of continuous improvement, high performance and accountability among team members to deliver exceptional results.

Ideally you will be tertiary qualified with a demonstrated track record of leading a business improvement functions on a major infrastructure project; civil, mining or hydro. The ability to inspire and coach leaders as well as team members to bring about change will be second nature to you, as is an execution mindset working in a dynamic environment.

This role is based in Cooma (Monday - Friday) with frequent trips to the construction sites at Lobs Hole, Tantangara and Marica. The area provides a wealth of outdoor lifestyle opportunities - winter & summer, as well as excellent education options for those with families.
