Based in the Hunter Region, a local government organisation is looking to engage an experienced Project Manager for an 12-18 month contract position. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing airport upgrades on an operational airport.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will provide project management services for design and construction of airport civil infrastructures. These include runway/taxiway refurbishment, water and sewer reticulation and associated works included on the airport project plan. You will provide civil engineering services including planning, investigations, design, documentation and procurement of civil engineering infrastructure works. As Project Manager you will manage the projects finances and timeframes by preparing and managing project budgets. You will also manage all project related communications with the community, key stakeholder and public utilities.

The Person

To be successful in this position you will have a degree in civil engineering or related field and experience in managing upgrades in an operational airport environment. You will need a minimum of five years project management experience in a wide range of infrastructure projects. Previous experience in a government organisation is highly desirable.
