The Role

A local council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Works and Infrastructure Service division. As Project manager, you will provide professional project management services for the successful delivery of Council’s civil and environmental infrastructure projects, including stormwater drainage, bridges and culverts, roads, and traffic and transport facilities.

This role will be required to provide project management services for the design and construction of civil infrastructure projects. This includes planning, investigation, design, documentation and procurement of civil engineering works. You will be required to manage project finances and timeframes by preparing and monitoring project budgets, quantities and rates, cost estimates, expenditure and cash flows, and project programs.

The Person

The successful candidate must have a degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant fields with strong experience in civil engineering and a minimum of five years demonstrated extensive experience in the project management of simple and complex municipal infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and experience with Project Management and CAD systems is essential. Local Government experience is highly desirable.
