The company

Working for a digital consulting firm onsite at a State Government Authority on a digital transformation program of work, we are looking for a Project Manager to begin immediately. This role will be initially until the end of June, with a high chance of extension through to mid 2020.

The role

As the Project Manager you are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of key business projects or IT capability uplift as allocated, delivered to the PMO governance framework using a stage gated delivery model. This role will see you utilise your exceptional stakeholder management skills to support the delivery of multiple projects from requirement gathering to Gate One and ongoing to project completion.

Skills & responsibilities required

  • Experience working across digital projects in an ambiguous/undefined environment
  • Experience with Office 365 suite
  • Scope planning, including defining scope, objectives, costs and resource requirements, activities, timescales, risks and issues.
  • Effective budget forecasting and management including financial reporting aligned to the organisations legal and statutory requirements and control expenditure within budget limits whilst maximising the value of managed resources.
  • Schedule forecast and management, project finances, issues, risks, dependencies
  • Oversight of business analysts and client engagement to define business requirements
  • Support project design and planning activities including reporting on all aspects of the management and implementation of projects
  • Providing regular project reports on all activities to ensure any variances are managed effectively
  • Preparing project documentation in line with the established standards within the PMO function
  • Responsible for planning, chairing and administering meetings with stakeholders
  • Present to large groups explaining complex technical information to staff at different levels of understanding, including regular updates to key stakeholders
