A role with purpose, making a meaningful impact in planning for the future of Victoria's Rail sector.The roleFunding Manager VPS6As the Funding manager, will lead and manage the delivery, operation, governance, administration and monitoring of grants and funding programs, ensuring equitable, open and transparent processes and alignment to Department priorities. You will support the Director of funding through the following tasks:Grant Delivery: Lead the delivery of specific grant programs and projects. Stakeholder engagement: Build partnerships with key stakeholders to support the effective delivery of grants programs, including liaising with local government, community organisations and other potential grant applicants.Record keeping and reporting: Develop and maintain overarching policy and procedure framework for grants management and administration, business processes and systems to support transparent performance and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelinesProject management: Review and define performance and progress requirements against objectives and manage project risks and issues, ensuring project objectives are met. Lead and work in a collaborative team environment; have the capacity to negotiate and be adaptable given the fast-moving environment.Program Governance: Provide accurate briefings to Executive Leadership Team to support decision making. Monitor the program risk register, identifying and escalating potential opportunities and risks within the grant program while actively contributing to continuous improvement and best practice.Funding Coordinator VPS4As the Funding coordinator, will support the delivery of specific projects and programs ensuring equitable, open and transparent processes and alignment to Department objectives. You will support the Funding Manager VPS6 through the following tasks:Grant administration: Support the administration of Community Projects Fund through the assessment of applications and other supporting documentation; administration of funding agreements and associated reporting on program outcomes. Maintain accurate grants records through the grant management system.Stakeholder engagement: Provide assistance to internal and external Community Projects Fund stakeholders. Support effective working relationships with other agencies.Record keeping and reporting: Fulfill project reporting obligations by providing regular performance reports. Define and maintain reporting dashboards.Program coordination: Coordinate the grant assessment panel. Support the application of the fund rules and assist in the application assessment process.Governance: Write high-quality briefs for decision makers. Identify potential opportunities and risks within grant programs while actively contributing to continuous improvement and best practice and maintaining the program risk registerSuccess look likeWe are seeking an experienced Grants profesionals with knowledge of government management processes for a multitude of sectors –Preferably in building, rail or infrastructure settings.Stakeholder engagement and relationship management skillsHigh-level communication ability with excellent negotiation and problem solving skillsDemonstrated capacity to coordinate responses and manage competing/shifting deadlines and requirementsThe ability to work in a team under limited supervision as well as being able to deliver under pressureA relevant tertiary qualification would be desirable.
